Inspiration

Growing up, we were fascinated by mythology stories. We realized that these ancient tales could be leveraged to make learning more engaging and interactive. Our goal was to bring mythology to life through Augmented Reality (AR) and make education more accessible and enjoyable.

What it does

EduAR is an innovative AR-based textbook that uses mythology to solve real life problems. By scanning images, students can unlock interactive 3D models, simulations, and stories that make learning fun and immersive.

How we built it

We used Unity as our development platform, Vuforia for database management, and ARCore for image recognition. Our team worked tirelessly to create engaging 3D models, interactive content, and error-free experiences within Unity.

Challenges we ran into

1. 3D modeling and content creation: Designing interactive and accurate 3D models, as well as developing engaging content, proved to be a significant challenge.
2. Unity errors and debugging: Identifying and resolving errors within Unity was time-consuming and required patience and persistence.
3. Maintaining student interest: Our biggest challenge was ensuring that students remained engaged and motivated throughout the learning experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite the challenges, we successfully created a functional and engaging AR-based textbook that brings mythology to life. We're proud of our teamwork, perseverance, and creativity in overcoming obstacles.

What we learned

1. Importance of teamwork: Collaborating with diverse skill sets and expertise was crucial to our project's success.
2. AR in education: We learned about the vast potential of AR in making education more interactive, immersive, and effective.
3. Mythology as a teaching tool: We discovered the value of using mythology as a narrative device to teach complex subjects and make learning more enjoyable.

What's next for Edu AR

Our vision is to expand EduAR to include mythology from diverse cultures and countries, making it a global educational platform. We aim to integrate EduAR into educational curricula worldwide, making learning more accessible, enjoyable, and effective for students everywhere
