Inspiration

Many people in the underrepresented countries are facing difficulties of doing financial transaction when coming to the United States. Transacting to US dollars is costly and slow, which usually takes weeks to months. To address this problem space, we hope to create an app which works as a middle man, transacting unrepresented groups' home currency into cryptocurrency and finally to the target currency, making transactions faster and cheaper for daily services.

What it does

FiForFuture creates a cheaper, easier, and quicker financial transaction experience for underrepresented groups in third world countries traveling to United States.

How we built it

We first did some research to understand the pain points third world countries travelers have when trying to do transactions in USA; then we did competitive analysis of other similar crypto financial transaction products and built our value proposition; then we ideated it on sketch papers, and finally build the high-fidelity prototype in Figma.

Challenges we ran into

Problems when translating ideas into the prototype "scrolling function" Problem of translating prototypes into front end

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We translated our conceptual ideas into interactive high fidelity prototypes; We learned by doing the project and overcame

What we learned

Collaboration is key; always communicate with your team members to make everyone is on the same page; asking many questions to clarify ideas and translating them into prototypes.

What's next for FiForFuture

Conduct user testings with target users; Continue develop collaborations with local services that accept cryptocurrency payments.
