Inspiration
Challenge: How might we decrease the digital divide in virtual/remote education while promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in the post COVID world?
What it does
Promotes inclusion and a safe space for kids to interact and connect with their peers
How we built it
We started product development on Friday, worked out the requirements, prioritized our scope, and then created a design for the platform. We built a web application using Angular, connected to both a Google Cloud real-time database and our Node.js back-end. The Angular web app is being hosted on the AWS S3 bucket. Our Node.js client is being hosted on an AWS EC2 instance.
Challenges we ran into
Ensuring a secure connection between the API and project
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Working together as a team to formulate a solution for a problem that we're all impacted by
What we learned
We learned about the different aspects of creating a web app
