Inspiration

The current issue is that artists and producers are not owners of their music and the difficulty that there is to deal with royalties.

What it does

It is a marketplace where artists can collaborate by buying royalties from each other and acquiring licenses as NFTs. The transaction will be recorded in a blockchain.

How we built it

React and JavaScript for the frontend. Ideation in Figma. Backend in Node.js and Solidity using frameworks such as Hardhat JS and Openzeppelin.

Challenges we ran into

Integration between all components of the web application.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Linking to a digital wallet and acquiring an NFT.

What we learned

The concept of blockchain, tokens built on top of the Ethereum network, ideation, and project validation.

What's next for Harmony

Writing a smart contract to have the artists earn royalties every time their song is played.
