Inspiration
The inspiration for our project was the issue of primary care deserts plighting the many rural areas of our country. One emerging healthcare delivery solution for this issue is the advent of mobile health care clinics, providing many preventative health care services on the go, to rural areas otherwise difficult to access. However, these mobile clinics have limitations in areas of primary care deserts, including difficulty in patient outreach, communication, and fragmentation of care.
What it does
Our application, MoCli, allows primary care providers and patients to connect, expanding the healthcare infrastructure in rural areas. By using realtime GPS tracking, MoCli provides patients with information about mobile health care clinic locations, times, routes, schedules, services, and also allows patients to schedule appointments. At the same time, MoCli provides an invaluable service to providers by giving them direct access and a means of communication with patients seeking to receive care. This allows for better follow ups with doctors and patient adherence.
How we built it
We built this app using React Native and by creating the art assets through GIMP.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of completing our first React Native project in 32 hours.
What's next for MoCli
Expanding to have more features including have a health care provider side app.
