Inspiration
Our platform, Questria, was inspired by the idea of a small, vibrant village — one where each home serves a unique, essential function, and everyone plays a role in building a strong, interconnected community. Just like in a village, where the marketplace, school, library, and community center come together to support every individual’s growth, Questria is designed as a learning ecosystem that brings together diverse tools, resources, and people to help students and educators thrive. We wanted to create a place where every learner, no matter their background, could find a path to success, supported by a community of like-minded individuals and experts.
What it does
Questria is an all-in-one online learning platform that connects students, teachers, and educational resources in one dynamic environment. The platform offers live lessons, interactive content, personalized learning pathways, and community-driven support, all designed to make learning more accessible, engaging, and effective. Each aspect of Questria is like a “house” in the village — from educational content hubs to discussion forums, mentorship opportunities, and resources for educators, everything works together to foster growth, collaboration, and a lifelong love of learning.
How we built it
We built Questria using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the front-end, with Figma for design. One major challenge was debugging JavaScript within our HTML files, particularly with dynamic features and real-time updates.
Challenges we ran into
Errors often occurred when linking JavaScript to HTML elements or managing asynchronous data. We tackled this by using console.log for debugging and browser developer tools to inspect and fix issues. This process taught us the importance of clean, modular code and thorough testing to ensure smooth functionality.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of the personalized learning pathways we've created, which empower each student to learn at their own pace and on their own terms. Specifically, we're proud of how we've designed the platform to seamlessly link functionality with the user experience, ensuring that the learning journey is both intuitive and adaptable to individual needs.
What we learned
One key takeaway has been the importance of community in education. We’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when students, teachers, and mentors come together, share ideas, and support one another. We’ve also learned the importance of flexibility. Education isn’t one-size-fits-all, and the more customizable and adaptable the learning experience, the better it is for the students.
What's next for Questria
The potential for Questria is vast, and we are just getting started. In the coming months, we plan to expand the platform by introducing more interactive features, such as educational games and gamified learning paths, to make the experience even more engaging for students. We also plan to integrate more tools for teachers, including advanced analytics to help track student progress and improve teaching strategies. As our community grows, we hope to offer more ways for students to connect with mentors and peers, creating a truly global learning village.
