🚧 Quotor: Voice-Powered Quoting for the Trades

🛠️ Why I Built It

I built Quotor because I’m in the trades—and I needed it myself. Most quoting apps are made for desktops and take too long. Back when I used to quote painting jobs, some would take me hours to complete. I wanted something faster, something I could use on-site without having to return to the office.

Quotor lets tradespeople speak the job out loud and instantly turn it into a professional, ready-to-send quote. No typing. No hassle.

💡 Inspiration

The inspiration came from real field experience. I know how many tradespeople still lack simple, smart tools that can help them operate more efficiently and win more jobs. Quotor was designed to solve that—fast, professional quoting in the palm of your hand.

⚙️ How I Built It

I built the entire project using Bolt.new as part of the One-Prompt Challenge, and used ChatGPT to help solidify the idea, shape the prompt, and refine the user flow.

⚠️ Challenges

The biggest challenge was getting everything to work inside a single prompt. That meant packing in voice input, AI-powered parsing, quote generation, and export functionality—all while keeping it simple and efficient for the user.

Quotor was built for busy tradespeople like me. It brings speed, clarity, and professionalism to the quoting process—right from the job site.
