## Inspiration
Startups and SMBs don’t struggle because they lack data—they struggle because turning ad data into decisions is still a manual, fragile workflow. The “standard stack” means connecting multiple ad platforms, relying on connector tools, exporting into Power BI or Looker Studio, rebuilding dashboards, fixing broken fields, and then interpreting results by hand. Those systems are powerful, but they are heavy-maintenance tools built for larger teams with dedicated analytics resources. Early teams rarely have the time, headcount, or experience to run BI like a project—many are still learning Meta Ads and other platforms in the first place.
Reasonly Studio was built from a simple idea: make marketing analytics a one-stop workspace for SMBs and startups—real-time data, clear visualizations, and guidance on what to do next—without BI setup and without needing to be an expert.
## What it does
Reasonly Studio is a Gemini 3–powered marketing analytics workspace that pulls campaign data and generates dashboards, visualizations, and recommended actions in-app.
Key workflows:
- **Dashboard creation:** users describe what they want to see (e.g., “ROAS by channel and campaign for the last 14 days”) and the workspace produces a dashboard structure that renders into widgets.
- **Real-time widget analysis:** click “Analyze” on any widget to get a concise performance readout based on the widget’s metrics (e.g., spend, ROAS, CPA, conversions), including trend deltas, risk flags, and prioritized next steps.
- **Natural-language performance queries:** ask business questions in plain language (“What changed this week?” “Why did ROAS drop?” “What should we do next?”) and get answers grounded in the same metrics shown on the dashboard.
## How we built it
We built Reasonly around an interactive dashboard experience where Gemini 3 Flash is the intelligence layer for interpretation, not just a chat add-on. The UI is designed to be beginner-friendly: widgets surface the core KPIs, and analysis is one click away. To keep the product consistent and easy to visualize, we request **structured (JSON) outputs** so the UI can reliably render percent changes, alerts, and ranked recommendations.
## Challenges we ran into
- **Reducing BI complexity without losing clarity:** designing a workflow that is simpler than BI, but still decision-useful.
- **Consistency for UI rendering:** making model outputs structured and predictable, not free-form.
- **Keeping explanations actionable:** avoiding generic advice and keeping guidance tied to the metrics users can see.
- **Designing for beginners:** making ad performance understandable for teams that are new to platforms and terminology.
## Accomplishments that we're proud of
- A single workspace that combines **data, dashboards, analysis, and next steps** without requiring external BI tools.
- **One-click widget analysis** that produces a clear readout and recommendations in seconds.
- **Structured outputs** that translate cleanly into UI components (deltas, flags, ranked actions).
- A product direction that is purpose-built for **startups and SMBs**, not retrofitted from enterprise BI.
## What we learned
- SMB teams value **speed, clarity, and guidance** more than endless customization.
- The best analytics UX is not “more charts”—it’s answering the operating questions: **what changed, why, and what to do next**.
- When insights are integrated into the workflow (not a separate reporting project), teams use them in real time.
## What's next for Reasonly Studio
- Expand the set of dashboards and analysis paths that can be generated from intent, while keeping outputs consistent and easy to act on.
- Improve transparency so teams can quickly understand which metrics drove each conclusion.
- Continue simplifying the experience for first-time advertisers, with clearer explanations and safer, more actionable recommendations.
