Wanted to bridge the gap between non technical business members and data analytics.
What it does
Transforms Natural Language into SQL queries can be executed on a target database to perform data analytics.
How we built it
Used fastapi to build a MCP (model context protocol) to communicate with a LLM to conduct sql queries and pull data.
Challenges we ran into
Lots of potential features, not enough time to implement.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Finishing the pitch deck and conducting in depth market research and competitor analysis.
What we learned
Two members learned how to use github proficiently and also learned how to set up REST api MCP backend server.
What's next for SimplyQL
Implement voice commands, different languages, graphs, and potential for different data visualization.
