Inspiration
The disco theme, listening to music on Spotify, and sites like Recieptify.
What it does
It's a web app that lets you log in to Spotify to get and show your top songs or artists over a certain time range.
How we built it
We used the Spotify API with Python, Spotipy, Flask, JavaScript, and HTML to get the user's top records.
Challenges we ran into
Figuring out how to link things together and get a domain (unfortunately, the domain fell through).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to use the Spotify API and Spotipy to get our top artists and songs.
What we learned
How to work with the Spotify API as well as see how they store songs, artists and genres on the backend.
What's next for SpinBack Records
Implementing a way to display the top songs per genre as well as get a domain.
