Inspiration
That feeling when you have too many tabs open for too many different things. A to-do list, a pomodoro timer, a youtube video, all for one productive study session? That's too many tabs.
What it does
The project condeses your study tools into one compact method of delivery, and allows the user to track all their necessary tools in one location. Alongside this, there is also a built-in sound mixer which can allow the user to create the noise they need for studying.
How I built it
The project was built with react, javascript, HTML, and CSS.
Challenges I ran into
The biggest challenge that occurred was the lack of prior knowledge entering the project. Our team was almost completely new to React, and had to complete an entire web application built with it in a very short span of time.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
An accomplishment we are proud of would be the functional components embedded in the React app. It was very difficult to create these with the limited knowledge we had entering the hackathon, and it was always satisfying to have completed a component and then moving onto the next.
What I learned
The biggest thing we learned was the importance of communication among a team, alongside new skills such as React, CSS, and Javascript.
What's next for The Lightbulb
Next, we hope to implement further features and streamline certain components in the website. There is a lot of improvement that can be made with more time, and we look forward to continuing this project.
