Inspiration
As a group of international students, we came up with an idea to make a website that includes all the features any of us would find useful or were looking for before coming to UB.
What it does
The website offers various features, which are a translator, a map that suggests places to go based on the region the user is from, finding friends from specific countries, and a mood tracker to see how the campus feels today.
How we built it
To build it, we used HTML, CSS and Javascript.
Challenges we ran into
Adding the Google Maps iframe and translating the API was challenging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the maps feature and region matcher.
What we learned
We learned more about the HTML.
What's next for UBverse
In the future, we might add more features, such as chats, and require users to register and log in.
