Victims of crime receive several reference numbers, do not know which local constable is responsible for their case, have to make numerous calls to get updates on court dates or the outcome and do not have a simple way to keep track of their crime documentation.
Our web application, VictimAssist, has several key features. We use Esri to locate the victim and direct them to the correct local constable. We use Evernote to save all documentation. Twilio provides SMS text messages to the victim about their case. APIs linked to Data.Gov.UK provide constable information. An API for crime outcomes provides the case status. Real time data comes from ESRI, which compiles all of the crime data into hot spots.
