Productivity Optimizer, also known as Automation Platform, helps your organization save costs by automating manual processes, including software request and approval, and ensuring that requests for resources follow the policies set by the organization.
With Productivity Optimizer you can, for example:
- Automatically remove and reassign unused software.
- Create an automated, approval-driven, self-service request process.
- Automate Office 365 license and entitlement management.

System Requirements
The system requirements provide the specifications and recommendations of resources that you require to install and run Automation Platform.
Automation Platform can potentially face every user in the company, making a wide range of services available for request.
With low usage, where few users browse the user interface and few workflows are run, the server will not need many resources. When the number of users and executed workflows increases, so does the load on the server.
With high load it may be required to deploy additional resources, and eventually to split the components of Automation Platform onto different servers (Web and Workflow engine).
Automation Platform supports changing the configuration after the product has been installed. Consult Flexera for more information when tuning the environment.

Software updates:
To enable Snow Update Service (SUS) to download software updates, HTTPS
outbound communication needs to be allowed on port 443. Note that SUS
requires a separate installation since it is not automatically installed
with Automation Platform.
