The Flight Path to Continuous Trust
Before Drata, Adam Markowitz worked in a world where trust is non-negotiable. As an aerospace engineer for NASA’s Space Shuttle Program, he quickly learned that systems only move forward when every component is documented, verified and trusted.
Later, building Portfolium with co-founders Troy Markowitz and Daniel Marashlian, the team hit a different kind of mission-critical reality: security compliance. Audit readiness meant chasing evidence across tools and teams—repetitive work that scaled faster than headcount.
So in 2020, understanding the need for continuous trust and frustrated with the manual process it required, they launched Drata—immediately helping teams blast past manual compliance with automation and continuous control monitoring.
As the company grew, the mission has expanded. Today, we deliver a full trust management platform so companies can stay audit-ready and showcase their security posture to customers, partners, investors, and auditors continuously.
