Another shot of exotic Harajuku mood. I've walked through this street for ages since my school age, it's completely different now in my child's generation.
I remember the stores on the street were mostly selling photos / cards of Japanese idols, some street fashion brands which were recognized cool by local young high school boys and girls in my school age. But now they diverse, targeted mostly for more tourists from many countries. That I ♥ JAPAN T-shirt.. yes I can say the same words in a different way as Japanese.
I found Chinese strawberry candies on the right bottom which I haven't seen here, it was mainly seen at Yokohama Chinatown. I feel it's fun, I feel to frame many context in one image.
They nicely promote more chaotic evolution. I also heard many interesting sounds with different languages.
I might have found the very interesting topic. To pack as many different cultures as possible here in one image—it's very rare to me but here on the street, at least everyone was having fun equally with the balance.

Just dropped by the street on my way to the outdoor clothing store to quickly shop the refill of some stuffs for the next work trip from this weekend. It's been a while since I walked this area, and I felt it was bit updated with much more mixed mood of nations. I also saw Japanese people here but on some moments this area is crazy exotic, and I couldn't stop shooting with excitement.

Meet KenKen (@vattsapporo on Instagram), the owner of a vintage store VATT, which he launched in the end of this March. I was following him on Instagram before its open day and watched how the interior was getting built on some stories / reels, and eventually on my way from Niseko to Tokyo I had a chance to stay in Sapporo for a while (also took many pictures, to post here in the future), and visited the store. He was really a good kind guy and the store was full of freshness and passion, inspired by the scenes in movie culture. I was so much interested in the lifestyle of him, especially the aspect as a buyer running his store. I could ask him for a portrait shot of him. He liked the view facing forward the entrance, and here is one of the results.

The entrance of Bar Gyu+ @ Niseko, which has always made a long line in full season. This is an anniversary shot finally taken with my sticker pasted at the left top 😆
At Bar Gyu+, Niseko
On visiting Bar Gyu+ at Niseko again to savor the time for their season ending on the last day of March, Masaki (@mindfullplace on Instagram) was on the DJ decks. Was happy to see him, glad to have a chance to take a portrait of him while he’s playing.
Inside of the bar is always under super low light basically only with candles on their open hours, but I could this time somehow to take a shot with fill-in light on the left, to have a security to raise shutter-speed.

The bottom half of the main gate called Gate of the Guardian Kings. This temple is famous for this huge gate, one of the Three Great Gates of Kyoto. I couldn't frame perfectly, but it was fun.

The narrow rusty road with classic heights on both side, makes me feel so much in travel.

On weekday AM, doors were open, and there were no people inside. I just stayed for a while, enjoyed the quality time.

Shooting on nice weather in Hong Kong is not my favorite (I love Hong Kong in hot and rainy weather) but it turned out to be a nice grayscale gradient.

I checked the place on map with the name of the cafe, and came to know it's now closed.

Looked for a cafe for breakfast, but I couldn't resist intuitively to forget it with the low light and went up the hill in opposite way from bookmarked place.

Restarted the walk from the previous end. I was already in a safe zone, now I can read and guess more Kanji letters, and see how the road goes to. And with the cozy weather, I felt slightly less impressed.

Much more than enough to me, with a small desk, shower, and internet (actually this room was only vacant at that time).

It inspired me a lot for my actions. I hope to see this someday again.

Sometimes it would be fun to leave a record for someday as creating one post. It would be fun to compare to the previous post (actual data). I repeatedly experimented some different papers with my favorite printer, and the final result was much more dramatic.

Victor d’Allant (https://www.instagram.com/mr.dallant/ on Instagram), a documentary photographer based in SF & Paris. After much online conversation for a long time, he came to Tokyo now and came to see me in Shibuya, for also seeing the group photo exhibition I joined this week. We talked a lot face to face finally for about 2 hours for nerdy talk about gears and photography, including his series of works he's been contributing for. I felt so grateful of his visit. And eventually I could take a photo of him.
