Hello everyone, my name is Ahmad and I am Lebanese living in Leeds, UK. I am raising funds to support Amal and her six children in surviving in Gaza, amidst the genocidal war, and evacuating it at the earliest opportunity - when the funds become available and the Rafah crossing opens. Here is here full story below:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello everyone, I am addressing all the kind hearts in sought of support to protect my family of six. I am Amal Hamo, writing to you from besieged Gaza - where, throughout history and to the present day, we continue to suffer from wars, destruction, and displacement. With your support, you can give us a chance to escape the horrors we are suffering from and create a better future for my children.
After our house was bombed and completely demolished, we were forcefully displaced to one of our family member's home. The genocidal war forcefully displayed us multiple times from that point onwards. We moved to our friend's house before being displaced to the Al-Amal Institute for Orphans - which we thought was a safe place.
However, there is no safe place in Gaza - regardless of what the enemy claims. After the institute was bombed and my children injured (including my 1-month old new-born), we were forcefully displaced once again to Deir Al-Balah. Due to the escalation in the attacks on Central Gaza, we also had to move to a different area in Deir Al-Balah.
As you can already tell, we have been displaced several times, and we will never forget the sounds of the intense bombing as well as the non-stop humming of the recon drones over our heads. I will never forget the sound of my children crying, when my young son fell from my hand due to the intense shockwave from the bombing, and when my three-year-old son got lost due to the large number of people fleeing.
All funds donated will go to help those mentioned above. If we can raise enough money to evacuate to Egypt, that will be a priority, and the evacuation will be coordinated through Ya Hala Agency.
The cost of entering Egypt for an individual ranges between 5,000 and 7,000 USD. This adds up to the evacuation target of 32,500.
Besides, raised funds will be used to purchase the basic goods and essentials, which have become extremely scarce and expensive, that are necessary for our survival amidst this genocidal war.
We are all struggling to deal and coexist with the chaos of war, the insanely high prices, and the high prices for renting homes to escape with my children from the bitter reality.
Every donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference for us, especially for my baby son, as he is afraid of every sound, and every day is a struggle for all of us.
With your support, you can give us the opportunity to build a new life, escape the war and build a better future.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering supporting us
