Are you involved with an organization, a project, an art installation, an event, a volunteer-led organizing campaign, or something similar that empowers, protects and liberates queer & trans folks in Atlanta/Georgia? Alternative Perspectives is a platform for the community to communicate with itself about public affairs and issues facing the TLGB community in Atlanta and across the world, broadly. AP was established in 2008 as a Public Affairs show on WRFG 89.3FM. The show was created by the lesbian activist Betty Couvetier, with the purpose of centering queer & trans perspectives in broadcast media. WRFG gives first priority to voices and stories that are traditionally denied open access to the broadcast media, and those who suffer oppression based on class, race, sex, creed, sexual orientation, disability, immigrant status.
