The National Talent Academy for Animation, in partnership with Screen Cork, is proud to present the Cork Animation Day 2026. This industry day will feature a variety of panels, talks, screenings and networking events and will be taking place in the Metropole Hotel, MacCurtain Street on Saturday, April 11th from 10:30am - 7:00pm. The full schedule is available here. This is a free event however, registrations are limited to the capacity of the venue.

The Hive is a new writers’ group set up in collaboration with Screen Cork. It is aimed at emerging and established screenwriters or playwrights (looking to transfer to screen). The group will operate as a cooperative, aiming to connect writers, deliver professional feedback, offer table reads, and provide script support for writers developing a short film, feature or TV series set in Cork City and County Cork. ✍️ We welcome writers with different voices, perspectives and creative processes. Spaces are limited. The deadline to apply is 20th March at 6pm. We will inform you on 22nd March if you have been accepted. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee selection. 🐝
