Soundscapes on the Trail
Soundscapes on the Trail reimagines how Houstonians experience live performance by turning the Heights’ historic MKT Trail into a stage. Diverse Houston musicians, multilingual when possible, will perform at these free events by the trail at Yale and 7th St. Led by A Tale of Two Bridges (ATOTB), this series brings music to trail users, visitors, and market-goers. Soundscapes on the Trail will make the MKT Trail sing, literally.

Brays Bayou Switchback - A Tale of Two Bridges
The Spur 5 expansion (TxDOT Project numbers CSJ0178-09-018/019/020 and 0271-16-111) has cut through the Brays Bayou Greenway, severing a vital walking and biking connection between Fonde Park, University of Houston, and nearby neighborhoods. Right now, TxDOT’s detour (in red) pushes trail users far off the bayou, onto busy streets, adding distance and safety risks. The […]
