Recently relocated from London, Fetherstone combines jazz, pop, folk and electronica to showcase a very personal, very modern expression of Briana Cowlishaw’s luscious songwriting and sublime vocals. Working as a seasoned jazz vocalist and composer in Australia since 2009, Briana’s move to the UK in 2015 sparked a new musical adventure; Fetherstone. Named after her 96-year-old grandmother (a printmaker/ artist herself), Fetherstone has released a debut EP in 2017, 3 singles and there is a new body of work on the way. Solo performances in Brighton, London, Sydney, Melbourne, Prague and Brno have seen Briana utilise a 5 channel vocal loop pedal and beats machine to craft stunning vocal arrangements of her songs. She also loves to arrange acapella vocal covers of her artistic role models, such as Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Tom Misch, Lianne La Havas, Madison Cunningham and Phoebe Bridgers.
