Introducing to WX DAO

Now at WX Network, the reins of governance have been passed on to the community.

Introducing WX DAO — a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) built on the Power Protocol, focused on growing the $WX token. Holders of gWX (those who have staked $WX) now wield the power to chart the developmental course, all with the ultimate aim of augmenting the coffers of WX DAO and reaping the rewards as the treasury swells in value.

The WX team has seeded the DAO treasury with 10 million $WX tokens. Also, WXG tokens, repurchased from trading fees, will be deposited in the WX DAO. The DAO has the discretion to sell them at a profit, indirectly benefiting from the WX trading fees. Every quarter, we will diligently evaluate the treasury’s worth, and WX DAO participants are entitled to 20% of the growth in the treasury’s value.

Distribution of $POWER tokens

A total of 1000 $POWER tokens are planned for the WX DAO:

1. 100 $POWER will be distributed among gWX holders;
2. a part of the 900 $POWER tokens equal to the value of collected $WAVES will be distributed among participants;
3. remaining $POWER tokens will be transferred to the buyers of WXDAO tokens.

For the grand launch of WX DAO, the treasury calls for an infusion of 25,000 $WAVES. Depositors will be granted $POWER tokens at the prevailing exchange rate, granting them entry into WX DAO and a share of the spoils from the treasury’s expansion. These $POWER tokens can also be unstaked once every three months. If there’s an excess of deposited funds during the WX DAO initiation phase (beyond the 25000 $WAVES minimum), these surplus funds are channeled for WXG buybacks.

Additionally, $POWER within WX DAO is available for purchase on the open market in the form of WXDAO tokens, which can then be staked within WX DAO. Each of these tokens, represents ~1 $POWER token staked within WX DAO. This offering remains open until the entire supply is depleted. WXDAO tokens, once staked, can be exchanged for $power tokens and subsequently unstaked after the next treasury assessment, which occurs on a three-month cycle.

The price of the WXDAO token is determined by the market price of $POWER tokens and the potential upside stemming from the profits generated by the DAO treasury. Continuous calculation and posting of its “fair” price will ensure transparency.

WX DAO participants wield the authority to shape the destiny of the treasury funds, directing them towards initiatives that enhance its value. Beyond the initial $WX token contribution from the WX team, other funds may find their way into the DAO treasury. These funds may also be earmarked for purposes such as WX token buybacks.

Members of WX DAO can:

• cast their votes on proposals aimed at boosting the value of the treasury;
• distribute WX DAO profit earned by treasury’s growth (beginning with an initial 10 million $WX donation);
• unstake their $POWER tokens.

• to be a $WX token staker
• join the WX DAO by depositing $WAVES into the WX DAO treasury
• buy WXDAO tokens and exchange them for staked $POWER tokens within WX DAO.

The first phase of our rebranding started last year with changing our name to WX Network. The reason for that was obvious, as for years, we had been showing rapid growth. In the beginning, it was a simple crypto wallet that later turned into a decentralized exchange. Now, WX Network is a comprehensive ecosystem featuring various products for creation and swapping tokens, holding, trading or investing crypto, with web, desktop and mobile clients, a user-friendly interface and a reliable blockchain under the hood. WX Network is more than a wallet or an exchange. WX Network is a place to start a deep dive into the Web3 and crypto world.

The second phase of our rebranding is focused on migration and relaunch. For years, we tested numerous features, some of which worked well and brought great passive income to our users, while some other features and products were less useful. In any case, we always tried to do our best to provide our users with opportunities to interact with the Waves blockchain via our interfaces.

In this relaunch, we are highly pleased to present you the best products on the new domain — wx.network.

Token creation feature

From the very beginning, the ability to create tokens was, to a large extent, the Waves blockchain’s killer feature. Back in 2017, users were able to create their tokens and run ICOs. Now, WX Network offers technologists and entrepreneurs full-lifecycle token governance. Each user can create their own token, verify it, create liquidity pools with it and promote it to investors.

Liquidity pools

Between the launch and present time, liquidity pools became the heart of WX Network product range. By providing liquidity to the pools, you enable other users to swap and trade on the spot. One important feature of WX Network liquidity pools is the ability to provide liquidity to any pool with a single token. As a great bonus, you receive rewards for your investments.

Liquidity pools based swaps

The swap is an indispensable tool for both experienced traders and newbies in the crypto world. Swaps are an integral part of any DEX that allows users to exchange cryptocurrencies and tokens in many directions without any limitations on amounts, as liquidity is provided from the pools. All transactions are made through a public smart contract.

Governance

Decentralization and engagement of the community in ecosystem governance remain among top priorities for WX Network. Therefore, governance is another core feature on WX Network. Since its launch, we have implemented changes to the governance process. We released the proposal voting, enabling users to propose their ideas and vote for changes. We also released the WX emission voting, which allows us to change the WX emission. For everybody’s convenience, we decided to remove the pool verification voting, which will simplify the procedure of pools’ creation and speed up the process of WX emission voting. But we changed the process of token verification voting, and now, any user can suggest any token for verification or suggest removing the verification label from any token. Also, we added an opportunity to make airdrops for those who voted for a token, which will be useful for future projects.

Decentralized PepeTeam bridges

Not only the WX Network team was involved in the realization of our plans. An independent team — PepeTeam — developed decentralized bridges, which were implemented on WX Network and moved to the new domain. BNB Chain, Ethereum, and Polygon are currently available, but we are looking forward to future integrations and are happy to collaborate with PepeTeam.

WAVES staking and trading are also moving to the new domain. Meanwhile, WX gateways, algo trading, Lambo investments and LP staking are staying on the waves.exchange domain, so you won’t find these products after the migration. As for WXG tokens — if you don’t have WXG tokens in your wallet — you won’t find them in your wallet on wx.network, as most of them are currently in the process of buyback and delisting, but if you do have WXG tokens, they will be displayed. You can learn more in this article.

Community engagement program

Simultaneously with the migration, we are happy to announce our community engagement program involving the Zealy.io platform. For a couple of months, we have been testing different types of tasks in order to understand the audience. Now, we are happy to present to you our community page. On our page, you will find several categories of tasks, each of which brings users a different amount of XPs (experience tokens). Each month, we will sum up the results of the leaderboard and airdrop WAVES prizes. Stay tuned, a new article about Zealy quests is on the way.

What’s next?

As we already mentioned, we are planning to continue to implement PepeTeam bridges to provide our users with the ability of cross-chain transfers. All future products will be based on PepeTeam tokens. New liquidity pools featuring these tokens will be created, and some new staking and swapping products are to come soon. We are planning to release the buy crypto option together with PepeTeam to give our users an opportunity to buy crypto directly on wx.network, using fiat providers. Also, this year, we hope to release derivatives and other financial tools for traders.

Secure migration

In order to start using your wallet on a new domain, you need to go through the migration process.

What is important about migration is that your seed phrases are not stored on a central server — they are held locally on your device, just as before, so your security is not compromised. That means that only seed and Ledger accounts are to be migrated. Those using email, Keeper Wallet or MetaMask to log in to the wallet will simply need to log in on the new domain — wx.network.

To start migration, you need to open waves.exchange web page, and you will see a pop-up window with information about the migration process. Simply follow the instructions.

ATTENTION!!! The migration process for web wallets is ONLY available from the web domain https://waves.exchange. To complete migration for the desktop client you must use the Waves.Exchange desktop application you have already installed.

Do not use any other domains for migration, do not input your seed phrases and/or private keys anywhere, and do not download any other clients aside from the software indicated for the migration process from your current Waves.Exchange account. The migration process does not require you to input your seed phrases and/or private keys anywhere. Waves.Exchange employees will never ask you to provide any kind of personal information, including private keys and/or seed phrases.

You do not need to pay or send any tokens to anyone to complete migration.

С начала года на существующих шлюзах WX Network наблюдается нехватка ликвидности для вывода в другие сети, в связи с чем было предпринято решение подключить новый сервис для переводов из/в сеть Waves. Команда PepeTeam разработала децентрализованный бридж, который позволяет быстро и прозрачно совершать транзакции между разными блокчейн-сетями. WX Network внедрила бриджи PepeTeam, которые теперь позволяют пользователям осуществлять ввод и вывод в сети Ethereum и BNB Chain. Постепенно будут добавляться другие сети. Новые бриджи предполагают создание новых обернутых токенов в сети Waves, которые постепенно проходят верификацию и добавляются на WX Network. В связи с этим существует необходимость разделения токенов шлюзов WX Network и токенов PepeTeam. Для этого мы приняли решение переименовать существующие токены шлюзов в WXG-токены. Еженедельно мы обновляем названия нескольких токенов, о чем уведомляем наших пользователей.

На данный момент для нейтрализации проблемы с нехваткой ликвидности для вывода токенов в другие сети через существующие шлюзы был разработан следующий план:

3. В случае нехватки ликвидности по токену начинается процесс выкупа токена за WAVES. Уже сейчас мы производим выкупа USDT-WXG и USDC-WXG токенов, так как они наиболее востребованы, но аудит по ним еще не завершен.

4. Денежные средства на выкуп собираются с торговых комиссий ежедневно, а выкупленные токены ежемесячно сжигаются.

5. В случае полной обеспеченности токена осуществляется его выкуп за токен, выпущенный бриджом PepeTeam в сети Waves.

6. После устранения дисбаланса по WXG-токену происходит делистинг соответствующего токена с биржи.

На данный момент эту процедуру успешно прошел токен WBTC-WXG. На бирже выставлен ордер, по которому осуществляется выкуп токенов WBTC-WXG за WBTC-ERC20-PPT по курсу 1:1, и к концу следующей недели будет осуществлен делистинг токена. То же самое происходит с токеном BUSD-WXG: на его выкуп выставлен ордер, токены постепенно выкупаются с рынка и сжигаются.

Также хотелось бы отметить, что, несмотря на то что аудит токенов BTC-WXG, USDT-WXG и USDC-WXG еще продолжается и, вероятнее всего, займет больше времени, чем аудит остальных токенов, уже есть возможность продать эти токены за WAVES.

Мы планируем провести аудиты всех имеющихся токенов шлюзов на WX Network. Это занимает много времени, быстрее всего аудит проходят недавно добавленные шлюзы, так как транзакций по ним меньше всего. Мы рассчитываем на ваше понимание и надеемся, что в скором времени сможем полноценно перейти на использование только бриджей PepeTeam.

In this article, we would like to briefly explain the current situation with the gateways and the process of auditing WXG tokens.

Since the beginning of this year, WX Network’s existing gateways have been facing the issue of insufficient liquidity for withdrawals to other networks. Therefore, a decision was made to activate a new service for transfers to/from the Waves network. The PepeTeam has developed a decentralized bridge that facilitates fast and transparent transactions between different blockchain networks. WX Network has implemented PepeTeam bridges, which now enable users to deposit and withdraw assets to Ethereum and BNB Chain. Gradually, other networks will be added. New bridges facilitate the creation of new wrapped tokens in the Waves network, which will be gradually verified and added to WX Network. As a result, WX Network gateway tokens and Pepe gateway tokens need to be separated. For that, we have decided to rename existing gateway tokens to WXG tokens. Weekly, we update several tokens’ names, informing our users about it.

Currently, to neutralize the issue of insufficient liquidity for withdrawal of tokens to other networks, the following plan is in place:

1. Each WXG token has to go through an audit to determine the size of liquidity for it.

2. After the audit, the WX Network team informs users about its results, the size of imbalance or full collateralization.

3. In case of insufficient liquidity, the process of buying back the token for WAVES is initiated.

4. Funds for the buyback come from trading fees on a daily basis, and the bought back tokens are burnt.

5. If a token is fully collateralized, it is bought back for a token issued by the PepeTeam bridge in the Waves network.

6. Once the imbalance has been fixed for a WXG token, the corresponding token is delisted from the exchange.

Currently, the WBTC-WXG has successfully gone through this procedure. On the exchange, an order has been placed, under which WBTC-WXG tokens are bought for WBTC-ERC20-PPT at a rate 1:1. By the end of next week, the token will be delisted. The same applies to the BUSD-WXG token: an order for its buyout has been placed, and tokens are gradually bought out from the market and burned.

It should also be noted that, although the audit of the BTC-WXG, USDT-WXG and USDC-WXG tokens is still in progress and will likely take more time than other tokens’ audits, it’s already possible to sell these tokens for WAVES.

We plan to audit all existing gateway tokens on WX Network. This takes substantial time, and we count on your understanding and hope that soon, we’ll be able to completely switch to using only Pepe bridges.

Во время голосования за предложение №1, были приняты следующие изменения:

2. Увеличить максимальное значение коэффициента бустинга с 3 до 5, чтобы повысить доход держателей gWX.

С этим релизом мы обновляем следующее:

Количество gWX для максимального бустинга зависит от доли LP-токенов пула, сданных в стейкинг и доли gWX, отданных за пул в голосовании за распределение эмиссии. Чем больше доля в стейкинге LP токенов, тем больше gWX нужно для бустинга. Чем больше gWX отдано за конкретный пул в голосовании за распределение эмиссии WX, тем большим количеством gWX нужно проголосовать за пул в голосовании за распределении эмиссии WX.

Максимально возможное значение коэффициента бустинга равно 5.00.

Boosting is a mechanism that allows increasing the rewards for staking pool’s LP tokens. Stakers of a pool’s LP token can boost their tAPY rewards of the corresponding pool by voting for it with gWX on the WX Emission Distribution Voting.

The boosting is automatically activated immediately after the calculation of the results of the current WX Emission Distribution Voting.

During the proposal #1 voting, the following was agreed:

1. To tie the boosting coefficient to a user’s share of gWX used in voting for WX emission distribution.

2. To raise the maximum value of the boosting coefficient from 3 to 5 to increase gWX holders’ income.

With this release we are updating the following:

The amount of gWX for maximum boosting depends on the share of the staked LP token and on gWX share in a pool among stakers of LP token of this particular pool. The more the share of staked LP token is, the more gWX is needed for boost. The more gWX is given for a particular pool, the more gWX has to be given for WX emission voting into that pool to get maximum boosting.

The maximum possible value of the boosting coefficient is 5.00.

The following formulas will be applied for counting boosting rewards per block:

Proposal #2. Вернуть вознаграждения за стейкинг WX, обновить механику торговых комиссий и ввести голосование за эмиссию WX

2. Обновить механику торговых комиссий. Мы предлагаем убрать скидку на оплату торговых комиссий в токенах WX и внедрить новую механику поощрения трейдеров, которые платят комиссии не только в токенах WX. To incentivize users to hold and stake WX tokens and give them an opportunity to earn extra passive income, a new proposal will be put to vote.

Decentralization and community engagement are important values for the WX Network ecosystem, and all plans for future development are shaped with significant community involvement. Major decisions have already been made with the use of the voting system, launched last year.

Now, time has come to hear what the community thinks about a new proposal from the WX Network team, focused on making holding and staking WX tokens more attractive for users, while also offering them an opportunity to earn additional passive income.

Proposal #2. Bring Back WX Staking Rewards, Upgrade Trading Fees Mechanics and Introduce WX Emission Voting

1. Bring back WX staking rewards and increase the current WX emission to 20% to share it among gWX holders.
2. Cancel the 25% discount for spot exchange fees paid in WX. We propose that the trading fee discount be eliminated and a new mechanism to encourage traders who pay trading fees in tokens other than WX, be introduced. That will motivate traders to trade and receive WX cashback from their fees, thereby increasing the utility of the WX token.
3. Implement the following trading rewards system:

Let’s see how the proposed scheme is going to work, using an example.

Say, Jack’s trading volume in January amounted to $520,000, and an equivalent of $500 was spent on paying trading fees. Jack can count on a cashback from his trading fees in the amount of 10% and if 1 WX = $0.5, the cashback will be 100 WX. At the same time, Jack is an active WX staker and has 1,000 gWX on his balance on the settlement day, which means that he will receive an additional reward of 200 WX. In total, he gets back 30% of the fees he paid, although he could get more if he had more gWX on his balance.

4. Launch WX emission Voting on a monthly basis in order to give the community an opportunity to decide on lowering or increasing the emission of WX tokens. In each voting, emission can be changed by 10% up or down, with a mandatory condition: WX emission * 1.2 <= MaxEmission.

2023 год начался для WX Network довольно активно: завершается работа над ребрендингом, и уже полным ходом идет реализация планов, поставленных на этот год. О них мы и расскажем в этой статье.

Q1

Децентрализация и вовлечение сообщества в управление экосистемой остаются одним из главных приоритетов для WX Network. И уже в январе команда реализовала новый тип голосования по предложениям, в рамках которого сообщество принимает решения об изменениях в протоколе. Правила нового вида голосования стандартные:

каждое голосование имеет свой период, голосование возможно только с помощью gWX, голосование считается действительным, если оно достигло кворума, можно отменить или изменить свой голос до конца оставшегося времени голосования.

В рамках первого голосования была принята новая механика коэффициента бустинга и эмиссии WX, подробнее о которой можно прочитать в этой статье. Но это — только начало, и впереди — новые голосования по предложениям, которые будут определяющими для развития WX Network. Если у вас есть предложения по улучшению WX Network, мы будем рады их рассмотреть.

В первом квартале WX Network планирует расширить интеграцию пулов ликвидности в разных продуктах и реализовать свопы на базе пулов, а также переработать текущую механику LP-стейкинга.

Важнейшим релизом первого квартала станет интеграция с командой PepeTeam по децентрализованным кроссчейн-бриджам. Основным преимуществом новых бриджей будет прозрачный и децентрализованный протокол межсетевого взаимодействия, обеспечивающий дешевое и безопасное перемещение ликвидности между блокчейн-платформами, при котором не будет происходить фрагментация ликвидности.

Также в первом квартале будет реализован финальный этап нашего ребрендинга: переезд на новый домен wx.network. Мы уже готовим для вас статьи, которые доступно и понятно описывают переезд на новый домен, а значит, этот процесс станет для вас абсолютно комфортным.

Q2

Одна из важнейших задач WX Network — постоянно предлагать пользователям максимально удобные и выгодные инвестиционные инструменты. В рамках этой задачи во втором квартале планируется закончить реализацию новой механики бустинга, недавно принятой сообществом. А следующим шагом станет начало работы над давно обещанными ордерами stop-loss и take-profit. В результате пользователи получат широкий набор эффективных инструментов для трейдинга.

Еще одной важной задачей на второй квартал станет продолжение интеграции с командой PepeTeam и добавление новых фиатных провайдеров для удобной, быстрой и безопасной покупки криптовалюты с карты прямо в интерфейсе WX Network. Это — серьезный шаг к массовому внедрению криптовалют — нашей долгосрочной цели.

Q3

В 2022 году было объявлено о партнерстве WX Network с Waves Camp и началась работа над ILO, которая продолжится совместно с новыми гейтами. Также планируется расширить функционал и сделать интерфейс понятным и удобным для всех пользователей. Благодаря этому появится возможность подавать новые проекты на ILO, а пользователи смогут инвестировать в перспективные проекты.

Кроме того, в третьем квартале будут внесены небольшие изменения в процесс управления протоколом: обновятся механики голосования, что поможет нашим пользователям более эффективно продвигать свои проекты​.

Q4

Потенциал децентрализованных финансовых инструментов по-прежнему высок. И, чтобы не отставать от крупных игроков рынка, в четвертом квартале мы сосредоточимся на реализации децентрализованных деривативов и их внедрении в торговый терминал WX Network. Возможно, кому-то покажется, что уделять целый квартал лишь одной задаче — несколько расточительно. Однако это — не самая тривиальная задача, и ее реализация потребует неординарных подходов и инновационных идей.

Заключение

В текущих реалиях ситуация на крипто-рынке меняется очень быстро, и изменения часто непредсказуемы. Поэтому построить четкий роудмап и беспрекословно следовать ему будет крайне сложно. А значит, мы готовы проявлять максимальную гибкость и адаптироваться к возможным изменениям рыночной ситуации. Конечно же, мы будем уведомлять сообщество об изменениях в роудмапе и прислушиваться к мнениям и идеям, поступающим от участников сообщества.

The year 2023 began quite actively for WX Network: work on rebranding is drawing to a close, while the execution of plans for this year is already in full swing. We’ll discuss our plans in this article.

Q1

Decentralization and engagement of the community in ecosystem governance remain among top priorities for WX Network. Already in January, the team implemented a new type of votes on proposals, enabling the community to make decisions on changes to the protocol. The new vote type’s rules are standard:

each vote has a limited period, voting is only possible with gWX, a vote is considered valid if a quorum was reached, and it is possible to cancel or change your vote before the end of the voting period.

In the first vote of the new type, a new mechanic for the boosting coefficient and WX emission was adopted, which is described in more detail in this article. However, this is just the beginning, and new votes that are set to define WX Network’s development lie ahead. If you have proposals for improving WX Network, we will be glad to consider them.

In the first quarter, WX Network plans to broaden the integration of liquidity pools in various products and to implement pool-based swaps, as well as to revamp the current LP staking mechanic.

The first quarter’s most important release will be integration with PepeTeam on decentralized cross-chain bridges. The new bridges’ main advantage will be a transparent and decentralized protocol for cross-chain interaction that facilitates cheap and secure liquidity movement between blockchain platforms, avoiding liquidity fragmentation.

Also, in the first quarter, the final stage of our rebranding will be implemented: migration to the new domain wx.network. We are already preparing articles for you that describe the migration in a clear and straightforward way, which will help make the migration process totally seamless.

Q2

One of WX Network’s major goals is to constantly offer users most user-friendly and profitable tools. In line with this goal, in the second quarter, the implementation of a new boosting mechanic, recently adopted by the community, is expected to be completed. Subsequently, work on implementing stop-loss and take-profit orders, promised a while ago, will begin. As a result, users will get a broad selection of efficient trading tools.

Another major task for the second quarter is continued integration with PepeTeam and addition of new fiat providers for convenient and secure purchase of crypto with a bank card directly in the WX Network interface. This is an important step towards our long-term goal of mass crypto adoption.

Q3

In 2022, a partnership between WX Network and Waves Camp was announced, and work on ILO began, which will continue with new gateways. Also, there are plans to expand the functionality and make the interface more clear and understandable for all users. Thanks to that, it will be possible to submit new projects for ILO, while users will be able to invest in most promising projects.

In addition, the third quarter will see some minor changes to the protocol governance process: voting mechanics will be updated, enabling users to more efficiently promote their projects.

Q4

The potential of decentralized finance tools remains significant. Therefore, to keep pace with major market players, in the fourth quarter, we’ll focus on the implementation of decentralized derivatives and integrating them into the WX Network trading terminal. Someone might think that spending an entire quarter on a single task is a bit extravagant. However, this is not exactly a trivial task, and its execution requires unconventional approaches and innovative ideas.

Conclusion

Under current circumstances, the situation in the crypto market changes rapidly, and changes are often unpredictable. Therefore, building a strict roadmap and closely following it would be quite difficult. So, we are prepared to show maximum flexibility and adapt to possible changes in the market conditions. Certainly, we will inform the community about all changes to our roadmap and will listen to feedback and ideas coming from community members.
