WikiCon Australia, organised by Wikimedia Australia, is the National conference for the Australian Wikimedia community.

How to participate

To take part in WikiCon Australia 2026 in Canberra as a participant please follow these steps:

1. Log in to Meta-Wiki (this website) with your Wikimedia username. If you don’t yet have one, you can create it here.
2. Link your Wikimedia account to an email address so you can easily receive notifications. If you prefer not to, please write to contactwikimediaorgau to let us know how to contact you.
3. Once logged in, register for the event using the Event Registration Tool at the top of this page. Click the blue button labeled "Register for event". You may register either publicly or privately, in-person or virtually.

Can't join us in in person? Register your attendance to WikiCon Australia, receive the Zoom link for the weekend, and follow along online.

All participants are expected to read and abide by WMAU's Safe Space Policy.

What happens next?

Wikimedia Australia will contact you directly to confirm your registration to the event. We will also contact you to confirm your accessibility requirements and dietary preferences for the event.
