On Monday we swung past to see our mate Hayden for a tour of the new Whites Powersports HQ. What an epic place!
While we were there, we were treated to a fit up from Shoei’s latest launch in NZ - the P.F.S (Personal Fitting System).
Hayden measured Chris's melon and crunched the numbers, the GT-air 3 that is the daily go fits well but the calculator said different.
By adding some foam packing to the top, back and sides of the head liner the helmet now sits perfect in place on his greying dome.
Such a simple system but it just made a safe helmet safer.
As Hayden puts it “imagine shooting a shotgun and not having the gun pulled right into your shoulder, that’s what the helmet does in an impact. So if we can fit the helmet to the best we can then some of that force will disperse quicker”
Interesting fact: only 6% of people fit their helmet perfectly 😬

Awesome day of slow speed in Albany, 24 punters were out to improve and refresh the key fundamentals of their slow speed skills. Heaps of laughs, heaps of learning and heaps of improvement by everyone. Days like these it almost doesn’t seem like work, hardest part of the day is writing the social media posts 🙄
As always thanks to @akltransport for working with us to put these days on bringing the giveaways and the snacks, the snacks are always my favourite part of the day.

Pretty sure I did my restricted test with him not too long ago and we were going onto the motorway and in traffic and we were going very very slow and so slow I was wobbling. Through the coms I just hear him saying find that balance and telling me to go slower. I found balance for a second then lost it again and had to foot down. Was honestly a great fun part during downtime between the ride and the test. Sure enough tho he was just fine going that slow but I was wobbling 🤣
Is this something that is done on a regular basis?
oh missed it?
