I created this template to provide a customizable MIDI control surface with controls that can be individually set to any MIDI channel and Control Change and labeled as needed.
Additionally, each control can be customized with its own color.

To do this, simply press the “EDIT CTRL” button in the top right to access the settings for each controller.

Using the “EDIT LABEL” button, you can customize the labels for each controller using the on-screen keyboard and pressing the corresponding “INSERT LABEL” button.

The keyboard can also be moved using the XY control on the right.

To reset everything to its default settings, simply press the “RESET CTRL” button and select “YES” or “NO.”

Finally, using the “MIDI CON” button, you can choose which TOUCHOSC connection to send MIDI messages to.

The template is an open project that can be expanded beyond the forty controls it contains:
Simply add an additional “C3” page to the PAGER and copy the “SURF1” or “SURF2” group into it to add twenty more controls.

Rev. 1 update:
Now the switches on each fader remember their last position.

Rev. 2 update:
– Added fader centering buttons for bipolar controls (e.g., panning controls).
– Changed the behavior of the switch buttons on the faders (activating them resets the fader to zero).
