Greetings XIAN community !

We are thrilled to announce that we are opening applications for community members to join the first validator set on the Xian Network. This is the foundation of our decentralisation journey, and your participation will shape the network for years to come.

Why this matters

Validators in this initial phase are not only securing the chain, they are also:

Helping draft the initial Constitution — a living, evolving agreement that reflects the will of the community and token holders.

Committing to participate in proposals, polls, and forum discussions that guide the network’s path.

Setting the standard for reliability, transparency, and responsiveness as the network decentralises.

Since we are in the early stages of onboarding, kinks and blockers in the process are expected, your assistance in working through any issues and giving feedback on the way is deeply appreciated, and will help us design a more seemless onboarding process for future validators.

Validator Rewards

Operating a validator requires a significant commitment of time and capital. In return, validators will receive:

• An equal share of transaction fees collected on the network.

• 50% APR on the 100,000 XIAN used to stake for validator eligibility.

Validator Expectations

Stake Requirement: Running a validator requires 100,000 XIAN.

Validator Setup: Follow the setup instructions   if you need assistance, or notice any bugs, give feedback / get support in 

Governance Participation: Be available to vote on proposals and engage with the community in forum consultations.

Security & Upgrades: Commit to adopting critical security patches and upgrade procedures agreed by the community.

Availability: Maintain good availability during UTC working hours to coordinate on upgrades and network events.

Manual Upgrade Cycles: Expect a few manual network upgrades during this phase. These will be important exercises to identify pain points and refine the process that will later evolve into a DAO-driven automatic upgrade feature.

Network Restart Committee: Not mandatory, but preference will be given to those who are willing to serve as part of a core restart committee to coordinate in the unlikely event of a network halt.
