Bio and Research Interests

I am an interdisciplinary scholar studying the science of intelligence. I am currently interested in

  1. Understanding the foundations of creativity–namely, how it is implemented in minds and machines
  2. Developing AI methods and systems that exhibit creative behavior

Previously, I was a researcher at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing, Berkeley. I did my undergrad at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where I studied theoretical computer science.
