Monitoring - We have identified and mitigated an issue that was causing intermittent failures when refreshing temporary credentials for AWS workspace connections. Customers running queries against AWS tables on affected connections may have seen ExpiredToken errors over the past several hours.
Engineering has scaled up the backend workers responsible for credential refresh and the failure signal has stopped. All connections that were affected have recovered, and queries should now be running reliably.
We are continuing to monitor closely and will follow up with the durable fix and a full post-incident write-up. GCP workspace connections were not affected at any point during this incident.

Investigating - We are investigating intermittent failures with the AWS temporary credential refresh process for workspace connections. Affected customers may see ExpiredToken or other authentication errors when running queries or refreshing datatanks against AWS connections. The issue is intermittent and impacts a subset of connections at any given time. GCP, Azure, and other connection types are not affected. Engineering is actively investigating and we will post updates as we have more information.
