My name is Visruth Srimath Kandali (विश्रुत श्रीमत् कन्दालै), and I am a statistics and data science student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I'm interested in computational statistics/statistical learning, Bayesian statistics, Monte Carlo methods, & stochastics. I'm also broadly interested in functional programming & HPC.

I mostly do computational research , e.g. statistical/machine learning & Monte Carlo methods. I've collaborated with professors at Cal Poly and Stanford. I'm keen to learn more, and appreciate recommendations for interesting book/papers/blogs/etc. For my thoughts on some things I've read, see reviews . I'm a big R and Julia fan! Python is alright too, I guess. :) I've been learning a little OCaml, and want to learn C/C++ soon. I enjoy learning cool new languages.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, writing, photography, and music.
