My game of choice on this Palm Sunday has my Texas Rangers playing the Philadelphia Phillies. This early afternoon game has a scheduled start time of 12:35 PM CDT and fits comfortably into my day's other commitments.

This Saturday's game of choice comes from the NBA and finds my San Antonio Spurs playing the Milwaukee Bucks. With the game's scheduled start time of 2:00 PM Central Time, I'll want to tune my radio to 1200 WOAI, the proud flagship station of the San Antonio Spurs, by 1:00 PM in order to catch the full pregame show followed by the call of the game.

I'm glad I'm mostly a radio guy. My vision right now and for God only knows how long is off the wall wonky following the eyeball injections a few hours ago from my retina doc. Reading right now is too difficult to manage, TV watching is a painful exercise in frustration, but I can listen to the radio just fine. Tuned in now to Yankees Radio WFAN 101.9 for the pregame show then the call of this afternoon's MLB Game between the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants.

Happiness in the Roscoe-verse. Today is MLB Opening Day, and my Texas Rangers play an afternoon game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Its scheduled start time of 3:15 PM Central Time means that I'll be able to listen to the full game, all nine innings, without interrupting my other commitments.

The plan today is to follow the NCAA March Madness Games from the day's first game offered by Westwood Sports, that would be the Miami (FL) Hurricanes vs the Purdue Boilermakers with a scheduled start time of 11:10 AM Central Time, through to the last game broadcast. A simple plan. I like that.

This night's basketball game before bedtime comes from the NBA and has my San Antonio Spurs playing the visiting Indiana Pacers. With the game's scheduled start time of 7:00 PM Central Time, I'll want to take care of my night prayers early because bedtime will come very shortly after the game ends.
Considering the teams' relative won/loss records coming into tonight, a Spurs win is almost guaranteed. And it's easy to cheer for a winner. But there's a warm place in my heart for the Indiana Pacers and probably always will be. When I lived in Indy during the 1990's, my apartment was a short walking distance from Market Square Arena where the Pacers played. And I held season tickets for Pacers home games then. Many happy memories of that time, of watching Reggie Miller play, etc.

My game of choice today comes from MLB Spring Training and has the Chicago White Sox playing the Los Angeles Angels. The opening pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 2:10 PM Central Time, and the radio call of the game is to be provided by KLAA 830.

Choosing a second basketball game to follow today (well, tonight for this one) I'll be turning to the NBA next. The Phoenix Suns will be coming to town to play my San Antonio Spurs, and I intend to listen in. The game has a scheduled start time of 7:00 PM Central Time. I'll tune in to 1200 WOAI, the proud flagship of the San Antonio Spurs plenty early to catch the pregame coverage as well as the radio play by play.
