IC5: Danish testing complete – now on to the next chapter 🚆🔧 After months of successful on-track testing in Denmark, the new IC5 trains have completed the first local phase of their journey. Next stop: Salzgitter, where Alstom teams will carry out targeted modifications based on the test results. From there, the IC5 units will continue with reliability runs in tests centres across Europe, collecting valuable mileage. But they’ll be back. Further testing in Denmark awaits before the trains are ready to welcome passengers next year. Modernised at the Alstom Transport Technology Centre in Widnes, the fleet features a striking new blue livery and refreshed interiors, with upgraded seating designed to enhance comfort on journeys between Scotland, the North West of England and London.

Houston’s Skyway system at George Bush Intercontinental Airport is getting a major upgrade! Alstom will modernise the automated people mover with new vehicles, a new Operations Control Center, enhanced signalling and communications, and updated station doors across all terminals.
