- First Annual Presidents’ Meeting held with 34 charter members on June 1-3

- APRU Secretariat was hosted by the National University of Singapore

Hong Kong
- APRU International Secretariat relocated to Hong Kong and was based at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
2021
APRU Opened at Cyberport
- The APRU Secretariat opened at Hong Kong Cyberport and a satellite office opened at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park
