Co-payments ‘a step backward’ for the health care system
Incoming changes to a federal health program will mean refugees, asylum claimants and other marginalized groups have to pay for health services that were previously covered by the government. We’re calling on the government to reconsider.

On social media, I'd recommend Science First. It's a great Canadian organization that's debunking a lot of misinformation around health.
Going to the major medical associations in Canada to their website to find evidence-based resources is really helpful. The Canadian Medical Association, the Public Health Agency of Canada, Health Canada, the W.H.O.
I'd like to advise that everybody consider taking a peek at Choosing Wisely. It is a really interesting resource that helps us figure out what treatments might not be needed.
Professional organizations that put out information for patients. So for kids, that would be the Canadian Pediatric Society or the American Academy of Pediatrics. Both of them have great websites that are made to be user friendly for families.
So if you're really looking for accurate health information, I would go to the Government of Canada website or the Public Health Agency of Canada. If you want health care system information, then Health Care For Real with the CMA has really good site for information.
