I bought myself a MacBook Neo and I am so glad that I did! It's also my first Mac ❤️ I'm considering a Mac Mini in the future; hopefully, it will have the M5 by then.
I’m an introverted Xennial who enjoys nature and geeky things. I’m also open-minded and like to evolve with time. I welcome you to my humble corner of the internet.
Weeknote 12/2026
This is a weekly note, a personal time record.
March 16-22, 2026: Week 12
Work has been tedious these days due to technical issues that have kept us at a standstill for half a week and counting. We had things to do to fill the time at first, such as cleaning up the work areas and assisting a different department next door. However, there wasn't much work to be done because both departments relied on each other. As a result, I took some extra time off here and there because I felt I could be more productive at home rather than hanging around at work or working at a slow pace. I always want to be productive and keep myself busy at work; otherwise, I'd rather be somewhere else.
I also took advantage of the extra spare time I had following the breakup to reflect on myself. Linda, to my surprise, called me days after the breakup to have a good talk about the relationship that had ended. We decided to give it another try. Everything went well except for one thing: communication via texting. This is what we're hoping to solve. I admit that it wasn't only her fault but also mine.
Meanwhile, my long-time friend Kimmy paid me a visit. It has been a long time since we last met, for various reasons, the majority of which are mine. We enjoyed each other's company while wandering around Utrecht's city center and along the city canals, and we decided to crash at a cafe inside a massive city library for a while before taking the train back home. We didn't talk much, just enjoying the day with the occasional chit-chat, and I tend to fall asleep on trains. Which didn't bother us because we're both introverts.
Since I removed region blocking, I received a China scam email informing me that they were registering my name as yeechie.com.cn, yeechie.org.cn, etc., and asking if I was bothered by it. According to online articles, they most likely wanted me to pay up so they wouldn't register my name as a brand. Which made me think that domain names in popular TLDs aren't all that expensive these days. So I decided to register several domains containing my name, including yeechie.com, yeechie.net, yeechie.org, and yeechie.eu. To defend my personal real name?
Talking about my real name. Back then, no one on the internet knew or had my name. Over time, I became more involved in certain communities, or data breaches brought my name to light. So there are some fakers out there these days, and I honestly don't believe that Yee Chie is their real name.
I'm excited about the upcoming spring anime season!
Now (March 2026)
Spring has arrived! I'm gradually starting to recharge from the sun, be gone laziness, and make plans to go out with my digital camera, a Ricoh GR III HDF.
I'm looking at clothes from Uniqlo and Muji because I've been in a new fashion mood recently and don't have many clothes that I like anymore or have been thrown out. I don't buy big-brand clothing because it's usually too expensive for what you get. I seem to have a preference for unisex clothing. My primary style is typically smart casual.
Other blogs are giving me inspiration for my website. As a result, I plan to make some content changes. For example, have separate “now” posts and keep it as a history.
I'm still working on being more consistent with my calisthenics practice. I currently do it about twice a week, when I would prefer to do it four times with three days of rest. It usually depends on what week it is because I work different shifts each week.
Also, I strongly dislike Trump. It irritates me that he is starting wars with negative impacts on world economics and unnecessary human deaths, whether in the US or abroad.

The entrance to Noda was hidden in a huge Utrecht library at an odd floor level, making it a pleasant surprise to find this place to rest and drink. The drinks were not particularly good, though. According to my friend, there is a suspicious elevator entrance from the outside.
Weeknote 11/2026
This is my first week note (again…), a personal time record.
March 9-15, 2026: Week 11
Linda, the woman I was dating, and I recently ended our relationship. It did not work out. The problem for me was that when I expressed a concern or explained my introversion, I was not heard or understood. If I had to explain the same thing over and over again, I was eventually blamed for my behavior. She started arguing that my behavior was not OK. She was unable to have any accountability and kept protecting her ego.
Now that I am no longer dating, I will have more spare time on weekends. So, hopefully, I will stop procrastinating about cleaning up or preparing my garden for spring. On the other hand, I don't think having a messy garden is a bad thing; it just doesn't fit in the neighborhood. Insects, birds, and other wildlife benefit from it, though. Preserving nature as it is, but in my garden? Or is this an excuse to avoid working in the garden? ;)
As spring and summer approach, I'm thinking about getting out more and doing things solo. I always carry my Ricoh GR III HDF camera with me to take random photos. Maybe this is how I will meet new people. I've noticed that as I get older, I have fewer friends. Is this considered normal? Especially for an introvert.
In terms of my online life, I am considering various options. Such as self-hosting more services. Linkding, a bookmark manager, is something I have recently started hosting. It runs on my Raspberry Pi 5. Another thing I'm doing is reviewing how I use apps and online services. Moving to apps developed and hosted in Europe, mainly for privacy reasons. I'll be updating my default lists over time as I make my decisions, which shouldn't be significant because I already use many European products. Trump is the root cause of all this. I'm not anti-US products or services; it's just the “US Cloud Act” that allows them to look at your data whenever they want, even if the data is stored in Europe.
Speaking about tech. I'm very excited about the MacBook Neo! I'm considering buying one, but not right away because of financial priorities. It will be my first Mac.
