Last week our team celebrated International Women’s Day by recognising the strength, talent and impact of wāhine at Cyclone. This year’s theme #GiveToGain, is a reminder of how powerful support and advocacy can be. When we lift each other up, we help create more opportunities for women to thrive. Our teams came together for morning tea, to acknowledge the vital contribution women make to our workplace and our industry. #GiveToGain #IWD2026 #CycloneIT

This afternoon we hosted Beyond the AI Hype, an insightful session presented by Susana Tomaz, exploring what it truly means for schools to move from reactive responses to a proactive, whole‑school AI strategy. Susana unpacked the shift from today’s generative AI tools to the emerging world of agentic AI systems that can act, decide and execute tasks autonomously. She highlighted why AI is no longer just a classroom conversation but a leadership, governance and infrastructure priority. From safe platform choices to capability building, the message was clear: intentional, system‑wide planning is essential for responsible and sustainable AI adoption in education. We were also delighted to partner with Lenovo, who shared the latest in AI‑enabled technology and how new devices and innovations are set to transform everyday workflows, teaching support and school operations. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. It was great to see such strong engagement and interest in the role AI is playing across our schools. If you’d like to continue the conversation or explore how we can support your AI journey, please reach out to our Cyclone team - we're here to help! We've kicked off the week on a high with the Cyclone and Philips Monitors fishing trip in Auckland. Ideal conditions on the water gave us the perfect setting for meaningful conversations, hearing insights into the latest Philips technologies and an exciting look at where innovation is heading next. To top it off, the team reeled in some impressive catches too! #CycloneIT #PhilipsNZ #PhilipsMonitors

Microsoft Enterprise Agreement Pricing Changes - What does it mean for your organisation? Microsoft has removed volume-based discounts for cloud services under Enterprise Agreements (EA). All organisations now pay the same list price for online services like Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Azure. What’s unchanged: - On-premises software pricing - Education sector EAs This change could mean a significant cost increases at renewal. The alternative? The Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) model, offering flexibility, monthly billing and no minimum seat requirements. As one of only 6 Microsoft Licensing Solution providers in Aotearoa and a leading CSP provider, we can help you assess the impact and choose the best licensing option for your organisation.
