We are first-year Software Engineering students studying at Vilnius University are studying how legal protections against discrimination and unequal treatment work in everyday life in Lithuania. Technology has always been about solving complex problems, pushing boundaries, improving lives, and creating something more than mere profit.
But lately, there's been a shift toward treating tech purely as a monetisation machine -- maximising output, leveraging AI for sheer volume, measuring success solely by revenue, and creating what I can only call tech slop...
When volume and quick wins replace technical craft and user impact, the core identity of a tech company gets lost.
True innovation requires caring about what you build and how it affects the user.
Reflections from a recent interview where I was essentially told: "We don't care about anything else -- money is what makes the world go around, and that's our only goal as a company." 🫠

today i presented https://git.ari.lt/uni/comp-arch-exc/src/branch/main/2-24.asm and got a 1,5/1,5 🔥 also im skipping the next task and doing a disassembler in assembly, and if i get a 10 i might not need to take the comp arch exam or it might be a different form 🔥 unis been pretty easy so far : )
