FSA Maps

A web application for visualising UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) food hygiene ratings on an interactive map.

FSA Maps displays food hygiene ratings for businesses across the UK using data supplied from the Food Standards Agency, and supports both the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (FHRS) used in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, and the Food Hygiene Information Scheme (FHIS) used in Scotland. There are more filtering options available, such as rating, name, address.

Install frontend dependencies

$ npm install

Install backend dependencies

$ pip install -r requirements.txt

Start the frontend server

$ npm run dev

Start the backend server

$ uvicorn server.main:app --reload

• GET /api/health - Health rating information
• GET /api/businesses - Business data with filtering options
• GET /api/metadata - API metadata
