V0.8.15 is now live for the UV-PRO and UV-50PRO, and it’s a big quality-of-life update—especially if you’re using the TNC/KISS features with external APRS/packet software.

Highlights in V0.8.15:

🔹 Better KISS / TNC Data Handling
KISS packets now transmit even when squelch is open, improving compatibility and reliability with external packet/APRS software.
🔹 New GPWPL Location Reporting
Adds support for reporting received position reports using GPWPL.
Enable it under:
General Settings → Data Mode → GPWPL Upload
Choose your signaling format (BSS or APRS) under Signaling Settings.
🔹 Satellite Mode Upgrades
Satellite screen now shows:

• Satellite name

• Azimuth & elevation

• Orbital altitude

• Range to satellite

• Pass countdown timer
🔹 Smarter Keypad Lock
The radio now remembers whether the keypad was locked before power-off and restores that state when you power back on.
🔹 Clearer Mute Icons
