What made you want to make your own blog?
That’s a great question!
I started sharing my ideas on social media and then realized that the word count was limited for me to really flesh out the idea I wanted to write about. So, I opted to take the plunge and make a blog!
Why the name “bensstats”?
I really wanted to get my stuff featured on R-Bloggers.com which deals with R and the community has the famous #rstats hashtag.
I guess “bensstats” was drawn from that idea- even though I do more than R programming on this blog.
What languages do you know how to code in?
Presently I have been coding with:
– R
– Python
– VBA
– SQL
– Javascript
– C++
– SAS
I hope to add more to the list and deepen my understanding in all of them. You can follow my journey in the blog posts.
If you write about R and Python, why didn’t you make your site with django, flask or Blogdown?
WordPress was the quickest and easiest way for me to make a simple site and showcase my work. It would be cool to do some stuff with those frameworks, but for now- WordPress is convenient and what works for me.
