(This is more of a Gitea FR than a Codeberg one, but here goes...)
A few weeks back, I was harassed by members of an organisation, on multiple different social platforms. I was unable to stop the barrage of rude spam on my Codeberg account, because there are no facilities in place to prevent people from contacting you.
I would very much appreciate a way to block both people and organisations, so I can't be contacted by these people on your platforms in future.

Fine-grained filtering, mute and block seems useful, aligned to what social networks typically provide.
Hi,
I'm trying to understand what happened and what needs to be done to avoid this.
I was unable to stop the barrage of rude spam on my Codeberg account, because there are no facilities in place to prevent people from contacting you.
How did they contact you?
I'm currently aware of 2 scenarios:
eMail spam
They contacted you through email, maybe cause of a publicy visible mail adress. Nothing that codeberg can adress unless you hide the mail adress in your profile.
issue spam
They've spammed some of your issue trackers. This could be avoid with detailed permissions for issue trackers which are currently not available in gitea.
Do i miss something?
well, they can ping you in issues for example, they can also add you to orgs (#353) or private repos and spam you there ...

This was fixed in Forgejo v1.20. Closing.
