Learn Network Programmability and Network Automation using GNS3 and Python version 3.

This course is based on Python 3.

Want to program networks using Python, but not sure where to start? Well, this course will show you how you can start programming Cisco networks within 20 minutes.

This course was created for network engineers. There are too many other Python courses out there that try to make network engineers software developers. Instead of teaching network automation, they teach you Python theory. This course is different.

This course is practical. I won’t talk about programming in abstract terms and make you wait before you can start automating networks. I will show you how you can quickly and easily start network programming by using GNS3, Cisco IOS and Python.

You will see demonstrations of the configuration of both Cisco routers and switches in GNS3. For example, how to configure multiple VLANs on a multiple switches, or how to configure OSPF on a router and more.

This course shows you practical examples of using Python to programmatically configure Cisco network devices rather then just talking about it.

The days of configuring Cisco networks only with the command line interface (CLI) are drawing to a close. You need to add network programmability using Python and APIs to your skill set.

Yes Lot of repetition and at times it felt like too much was reused from other courses. It would be very helpful if right up front we were told the versions of gns3, and different tools were used. For example I spent a lot of time fixing /usr/local/lib/python3.8/dist packages/Crypto/Random/ UserFriendlyRNG.py because it does not work in Python 3.8

I really like this building block approach, and I haven’t even begun the theory section yet. I got a little bogged down early trying to make GNS3 2.2.9 work until I grew weary and switched to CML 2.0. Yeah, I altered the lab setup a little, but still got all of his example scripts to work. David is an excellent teacher who likes to challenge his students. Just a great job explaining and demonstrating how to become productive with Python3 network programming.

guide is precise and to the point but it should be labelled as for beginners instead. also, too much intro and outro video clip and its copied and pasted from youtube. one thing that i dislike about the course is that, it doesn’t guide you properly on setting up GNS3 with other type of method on installing L2 and L3 cisco devices. course should be based on other brand or generic device if its not a common tool. (need to buy virl from cisco which cost about 200 usd). overall, good for total beginners (no knowledge on network and python). not for intermediate level as the guide would go on and on over a simple python task or switch/router setup.

Such a good instructor. Many poor instructors use examples that you never heard of trying to explain another concept you do not understand. I like his teaching style. The info is everywhere but how this is presented is very good.
