OffGrid Project Story

OffGrid was inspired by the idea of creating tools that can work without needing the internet or outside power. I wanted something that people could use in remote places or during emergencies.

While building OffGrid, I learned a lot about saving energy, handling unreliable connections, and making things work on different types of hardware. I used Python, Rust, and some C to build it. I also tried out different ways for devices to talk to each other, like using mesh networks and wireless radios.

Some big challenges were keeping things running on battery power, making it work on lots of different devices, and keeping data secure. I tested OffGrid in real-world conditions and changed things based on what worked and what didn’t.

Overall, OffGrid is about helping people stay connected and keep their data safe even when regular networks aren’t available.
