Inspiration

We are inspired by the information provided by John Deere and decided to create something that helps individual farmers to farm more efficiently.

What it does

Users will create an account on the website tracking the soil moisture of their crops. The main function of the site is to remind users of the appropriate time and amount for irrigation.

How we built it

We divided into two groups. The first group works on building the model while the second group works on building the final website.

Challenges we ran into

Agriculture is very hard to understand. We spent hours reading papers on this topic until we decided to simplify our model.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a website that can basically support the intended function.

What we learned

We learned a lot about agriculture and how to work together as a team.

What's next for Precise Irrigation

Add weather forecast data to the system and make the model more accurate.
