Inspiration ✨✨

My Inspiration was always thinking that wow, it is so fascinating that doing work in a team can help to do work of 4 hours in 1 hour, in my hackathons as well (when I'm with a group), I do not feel any problem while making hacks and that is the most fun experience too, so team-work helps to do the dream-work, I thought why not make something which helps people to be in a team/community to do even the most challenging task! People can come up together of the same skills or the skills if one person does not have to help them.

What it does 🔥🔥

It helps people to upload collaboration requests on certain things dependent on skills, let's understand this with an example, like... I want to make a flutter app, but I do not have enough knowledge to make it, my friend who is amazing at flutter, collabs with me to make this app, and we both get experience, and fun doing it, and our project will be completed too, we can rate each other as well, and our level will increase (according to our level, we can become a mentor too!), so in a nutshell, it will help people to be united again, I also think that people are wasting their time in scrolling social media 24/7, which is not good for their mental as well as their physical health, instead of scrolling social media mindlessly, if they unite and become a team to solve something, that can be the best thing ever!

How I built it 🏗️ 👷‍♂️

So, there were a lot of problems while making it, and guess what? by submitting this project, I'm assuring that I completed those challenges successfully being the warrior for LingHacks V Hackathon and submitting the "SkillConnect" project, I had to be awake till midnight to work on this amazing project, I used firebase authentication to manage users, firebase cloud firestore to store and manage data, with new flutter 3.0, I was unable to store images, so I used Supabase for that, I also used Lottie animations to make the UI more interesting, and google_fonts.

Challenges I ran into 🚫🤚

There were a not a lot of challenges but I made it look bigger, I believe. In life, there are many small stones which get in our way, and it totally depends on our perspective on how we look at that problem, so errors were the common challenge, with which I fought and won, the next challenge was waking up till late night, which was a huge problem due to family issues, and my routine (exams ++ ), but I managed to do it as well!, and another, the most disappointing issue was, leaving of my teammate from the team, that was a super sad time, but I knew if there is a challenge and it depends on our perspective how we view it, I thought this might be for something good, so I kept moving and removing stones from my path. 🔥

Accomplishments that I'm proud of 🏆 ✨

As we say, team-work does the dream work, the LingHacks Community super motivated me on making my hack! I was super happy and the best thing, I feel, I am able to complete this project, and... I got to know a lot more people, yayyy! What can be cooler and better than making a project which I can put on my resume when I grow up and meeting a lot of friends and having fun? 🔥🔥

What I learned 📚 🏫

I learned a lottt, directly coming to the point, I learned firebase dynamic data management, flutter dynamic widgets loading, supabase storage collection (buckets) and how to handle policies, + how to add Lottie animations, I also learned how to overcome those stones which always come on the path of life. 🏆

What's next for SkillConnect 📊📉

There are a lot of features in my mind that I wanted to add in this hackathon but couldn't due to time issues, but for sure, they are gonna be continued after the hackathon, after all, I love making flutter apps ;) 1.)Making an admin panel (for statistics). 2.)Making the leaderboards system. 3.)Having a small user base (everyone starts from small). 4.)Trying to put this idea into real life. (let's win this!🔥)
