π The DOGE Catcher
Turning complex government grant data into clear, actionable insights for everyday citizens.
This project was built for the Google Chrome Built In AI Challenge 2025!
π― Inspiration
Youβve probably had a moment where you wished you could tell your elected officials whatβs really going on in your community (and in your mind) β but didnβt know how to put it into words.
Meanwhile, government funding decisions quietly shift the resources your community depends on.
So we built a tool that breaks the silence.
Powered by DOGE grant data, it makes changes easy to see, easy to understand, and easy to act onβso real people can speak up with clarity and confidence. The platform highlights impactful grant changes and makes it easy for citizens to understand, respond, and mobilize.
This is civic power, returned to the public.

DISCLAIMER: This project is not affiliated with any political party and should not be considered as such. It merely uses Artificial Intelligence to analyze the impacts of grants that have been canceled.
π§ What It Does
The DOGE Catcher:
- Tracks government grant and contract activity evaluated on the DOGE website via their api
- Displays relevant data when a grant is reduced, cancelled, or reallocated
- Explains the real-world impacts (positive and negative)
- Helps users take action:
- Draft letters to Congress
- Generate outreach messages
- Create shareable social media summaries
Citizens get clarity + a next step, immediately.
