Dear friends and users of Joomla!
In year 2025 Joomla! is celebrating its 20th birthday. While our CMS has grown up and is younger and more active than ever, the documentation site based on MediaWiki is getting on in years and will be going into retirement before long. We are currently developing new documentation sites that will take the role of the wiki over.
Some pages in the wiki may therefore not be up to date with the current release of Joomla. We'll gradually add redirects from the wiki-pages to the new documwentation.
New documentation sites:
- Joomla! Developers Manual for programmers documentation.
- Joomla! User Guide for user documentation.
In 2026 we'll add translations to the user guide. In the meantime, the unofficial user guide Jdocmanual may help you as an alternative.
