Sewage pollution in the Philadelphia-Camden region
The Philadelphia-Camden area has made progress towards cleaner water, but on far too many days, wastewater systems still pour huge volumes of raw sewage and runoff pollution into local rivers and creeks. Camden County and the cities of Philadelphia, Camden and Gloucester, in concert with all levels of government, should ramp up efforts to ensure that these waterways are consistently clean for recreation and wildlife as envisioned by the Clean Water Act.
