Looks correct, and I tried this on both Linux and FreeBSD and it works.

According to the comment, I found that the shell compared operator syntax is not correct.
I submit this PR to fix that and I also test this patch in the FreeBSD (Unix-like) and Ubuntu (Linux-like) operating systems successfully.
