I think it make sense to release this as part of 8.3. It's only something internal and do not change anything from the user standpoint. @bukka @ericmann any input on this ? |

Yeah I think it's fine. AFAIK most distros use system one pcre2 anyway. Think this is mostly for Windows though. |

To be clear: this new pcre2 version also includes the JIT backported fix in GH-12108.
