Our open evenings are now over for 2025. Prospective members will be able to join up in the new year, when we return on 14th January 2026.

Hackspace is a community run workshop and making studio in Manchester City Centre. With over 300 members, a huge range of tools and equipment, and dedicated wood, metal, crafts and electronics workshops, you can get making here.

Our membership fees are affordable, but we rely on members giving their time to the space to stay open.

OUR FACILITIES

LASER CUTTER

A 900 x 600mm bed CO2 laser cutter which can cut and engrave a wide variety of materials.

PRINTERS

3D printers, laser printer, wax printer and large format printer all available for use

WOODWORK

A dedicated woodworking area with band saw, table saw, wood lathe, pillar drills and more alongside our small-bed CNC machine

METAL WORK

A dedicated metal work area with welding, metal bandsaw, metal pillar drill, metal lathe and metal folding tools.

CRAFT

Craft suppliers including sewing machines and overlockers.

PLASTICS

Plastic forming area with tools and materials to create your own plastic moulds alongside our 3D Printers

ELECTRONICS

A dedicated electronics bench with soldering equipment, desoldering equipment, hot air and infrared oven

SNACKSPACE

Members tuckshop with soft drinks, chocolate, crisps, noodle boxes and other snacks.

SOCIAL

It’s not all about projects, we have an active community with regular social evenings and get togethers.
